Eye Opener!

Bill Saddoth research is a clear and informative. I have lots of friend that have "inked" their bodies and I am able to see the stronghold formed. I felt the need to learn what this is all about. I was amazed and my eye opened to see the strategy of the enemy toward our society.

Informative but missing the most important part

A quick read. Very interesting. I appreciate the valuable research and compilation of materials. At the end I found like there was a big hole where something is missing. The author did not provide an example prayer for those who have a tattoo or piercing who would like to pray over their tattoo & close any spiritual doors that may have been opened when they got the tattoo. He was so thorough in other aspects that I was surprised. I would have assigned 5 stars has this been done. I hope he does a follow up addendum that includes it. Also I went to his website & the info was not there.

practical and simple

For anyone working with proteins for the first time, this is the book. It tells you how to do the basic procedures in a straightforward cookbook way, without alot of theoretical background. Old-school purists may object to this, but just as you don't need to understand Fourier optics to use a microscope, you really don't need to understand how Laemmli gels work in order to be able to use them to resolve proteins. This book just tells you how to do what you need to do, and for that purpose its really perfect. Using this book, you can singlehandedly do each technique without needing to ask anyone or read anything else, it is entirely self-contained. There aren't too many methods books that can compare with this one in terms of ease of use. I have used this book and its earlier edition for years and I highly recommend it to everyone who is starting to work with proteins.

Very useful book

This is very good book for people who are starting to learn protein biochemistry techniques. I have never worked before with protein biochemistry and I have gotten a lot of very important information from this book. Style of the book is very good, simple and easy to understand. Subject is described step by step starting from simple things as measuring protein concentration going to explanation more difficult protein techniques in detail. There is not only text information but also there are a lot of very useful pictures, which help to understand all procedures.

People who work with me in the lab also were impressed with this book. They worked with those techniques for years but still found a lot of useful things in this book.

She worked in Denver as a counselor in a girls group home and then as a case manager at an adult halfway house before returning to school to earn an M.A. and Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. She was on the faculty at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1996-2006, and at the University of Texas at San Antonio from 2006-2013. Her research areas are post-conviction offender behavior, issues of mentally ill offenders, and correctional policy. She has also partnered with a number of criminal justice agencies as a researcher, consultant, and program evaluator. Dr. Alarid has authored more than fifty journal articles and book chapters. She has co-authored/edited seven other books and received the Fellow Award by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences in 2011 for her outstanding contribution to criminal justice education and service.

A great read! This book has something for everyone,comedy,romance,unbelievable adventure and near disaster, all based on true events. It will take you on a journey around the world, with fascinating stories at every port, and beautiful pictures to go with them. It's a story that had to be told, to be believed.

Memoir of Frank Gosselin

This book will have limited appeal unless you were a member of the last crew of the Noxubee. It reads like a memoir of the author and his circle of close friends more than anything else. I was disappointed that the author omitted some other colorful characters that were part of the final crew and some engineroom colleagues who deserved recognition. I was however, impressed with the author's ability to recall so many details almost forty years after the fact.

I would do it again in a heartbeat

I can certainly relate to the experiences, having served aboard and made 2 Mediterranean
cruises on the USS Noxubee in previous years. It brings back fond memories to this 77 year
old man of his youth and education, mostly good but also some bad times. As I said in the
title, "I would do it again in a heartbeat".

A good interesting read......!
