which is a better option.

The Amazon Kindle version has a non-working INDEX until now which is the main reason I returned and rated the item with three stars. I tried to reorder the book with DVD, which is a better option.

I am a little disappointed in the navigation

I have used this reference numerous times in vet school and felt that it was a no-brainer to add to my library. As with so many of these textbooks, I am a little disappointed in the navigation. The TOC only gets you to chapter headings and there are no hot links in the index. I suspect that as the technology evolves and publishers realize that users are switched to electronic versions of their titles that these shortcomings will be fixed. Unfortunately, it will probably be years before I am really ready to buy another such reference.

Various editions of this book have been around for ages, and it is still the best reference around. It is very dense reading if you are not a veterinarian or veterinary student, but even the average horse owner can benefit from having it available. The addition of the DVD material is very helpful.
